Frequently asked
- Which NFC tags should I buy? NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216. For longer lists choose NTAG216 (the most space).
- On iPhone, a tag does nothing while the app is closed. That is how iOS works: in the background it only handles web addresses. Put the “ZHome NFC” shortcut on the Action button or in Control Center — instructions in ZHome: Settings → “Quick scan”.
- Do I need an account to control lights? Yes, a Google account with devices added in the Google Home app. Wi-Fi and lists work without any account.
- How do I disconnect ZHome from Google Home? Settings → “Disconnect”. To remove access completely, remove ZHome from the linked apps in Google Home settings or at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Can a locked tag be changed? No. The lock (padlock) is permanent — the tag can no longer be overwritten or erased.
- How do I turn off crash reports? Settings → “Crash reports”.
